CHILDREN (Birth – 5th grade)

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Matthew 19:14

The goal of the Children’s Ministry department at Saguaro Canyon is to assist families in the spiritual training of their children.

We do this in three ways:
1. By  introducing children to Jesus and helping them learn just how much he loves them.
2. By  training up children, leading them to Jesus, and helping them develop a loving relationship with God.
3.  By teaching the children how to share the word of God with others.  This will allow them to develop relationships with one another and to serve our world.

Above all, we want children to enjoy coming to church and to feel safe, secure, and loved at all times.  This is accomplished by our wonderful volunteers who train, teach, and love our Saguaro kids.

Children’s Ministry falls under the umbrella of our “Generations” ministry. For addition information CLICK HERE

We invite your family to join us. Children’s service times listed below.

10:30 am

NURSERY (Birth – 3yrs.)
During worship services children in the nursery engage in a variety of fun, developmentally appropriate activities and interactive Bible stories, worship songs and crafts related to Bible lessons.  They also have time to enjoy and play with one another.

Pre-K (3 yrs. – K)
During worship services children engage in music and movement, followed by a Bible lesson and discussion.  Bible lessons are reinforced by an educational take home activity.  Children also enjoy art and craft activities, fun and creative play, and safe outdoor fun at the Erik Hite Family Park (as weather permits).

ELEMENTARY (1st – 5th grades)
At Saguaro Canyon we want to assist parents in the spiritual development of their children by helping kids learn to study the Bible, develop an authentic, saving relationship with Jesus Christ, grow in Christian character, and influence the world through community service and missions. Kids remain in church with the adults during the first quarter of worship, and then are dismissed to class for music and movement, Bible lessons, missions, service projects, arts and crafts, games, safe, outdoor fun at the Erik Hite Memorial Park, snack and a great time!
